I have to confess this was done backward this week. We ended up doing our Adventure Friday project on Thursday and did our lapbooks today so on Simeon's lapbook this experiment is referred to. Anyway I want to thank Refined Metals Academy blog for this science experiment idea. Since Simeon was studying the letter T this week we decided to see how different liquids affect our teeth. So we put whole eggs into glasses of various liquids: Diet Coke, Milk, Orange Juice, and Water. the Diet Coke turned the egg brown then we noticed that the egg shell was coming off on our fingers. The Milk egg turned splotchy, the Orange Juice egg had parts of eggshell coming off on our fingers as well, the Water egg just got wet and that was it.
